"I have collaborated with Claire MacNeill on three productions at Putney Arts Theatre. She has twice acted in productions I have directed and we worked together on another project as co-directors. She is an unconventional creative thinker with an excellent theatrical instinct. I have often been impressed by Claire's ability to look at each creative challenge on its own merits without pre-judging the correct way to respond to it. Consequently her work avoids the cliched and obvious. She is also an artistic all-rounder with a wide range of skills. For example the first time we worked together on a topical new writing project she not only acted in the production, but filmed and edited its audio-visual sequences, and was a catalyst for the company taking a much more multi-media approach to the show than had been envisaged at the outset".
